"Is there something bothering you, Linda?" Miss Fine asked. "Maybe we should talk about it."
"What's going on here?" Linda asked standing up. "Why is Mikey hugging Jon?"
"Mikey is just showing his appreciation for all the hard work that Jon is doing." Miss Fine explained. "I think you should too Linda."
"What are you doing to my family?" Linda asked staring Miss Fine down.
"Mom!" Jon yelled but Linda wasn't listening. Clearing his throat he tried again.
"Mother!" This time she looked at him. "Rebecca is a guest and only trying to help us. I am quite shocked at the way you are treating our guest."
"But Jon..."
"No buts. I've had enough of your behaviour." He said sternly. "I think it's time you went to bed."
Miss Fine placed a hand on Jon's shoulder.
"It's alright Jon. Actually I wouldn't mind a quick chat with Linda and Zoe if that's OK with you?" She asked.
That seemed to calm Jon down.
"Are you sure?" He asked her. Miss Fine nodded. He then looked at Linda. "Fine, but after the talk I want you to go straight to bed mom. I'll go check on Mikey."
And with that he turned and left the room leaving just Zoe, Linda and Miss Fine.
