It was Yuki Meshida, the Japanese girl who went to his school. But she was dressed oddly. Kind of like Thea Woods. Leather jacket, tank top, baggy jeans, combat boots, short hair. Rough. Even a bit ... dangerous? Since when was Yuki dangerous? As far as he knew, Yuki didn't dress like that. So either someone else put her in those clothes ... or reality did actually change, fitting what Sarah had told him. He hoped not. He didn't like the idea that his best friend Karyn was now a total bitch and spoiled brat, like the original Sarah.
A moment later, Yuki began to stir. She was waking up. She stirred and looked at them, then around. "Where am Ah?" she asked. Her English was still accented. Southern-accented. "What're y'all doin' here?"
"Yuki?" asked Jon.
"Mah name's not Yoo-kee," drawled Yuki. "It's ..."
