"What are you doing here? What were you doing in the bathroom?" Jon asked Laura.
"It's not really any of your concern, but if you must know, I was using the toilet. Now, if you don't mind, I need to get ready for school."
"School?"
"Are you just completely absentminded this morning or what?" Laura asked. "Today's a school day, so that means I have to go to school with you."
Jon just stood there, watching Laura walk into what Jon thought was his bedroom, and then she closed the door, leaving Jon alone in the hall. If that wasn't his bedroom, then what was? And what was this about Laura going to school? She was too old to be a student. Something really weird was definitely going on, but without access to the wishing stone, it was going to be very hard to figure out just what was happening.
