"Well, what if I told you that you're different?" Jon asked.
There was silence for a moment. "Different how?" the girl asked.
"Your voice sounds different."
"No it doesn't," the girl said. There was another pause. "You didn't, uh, use the stone, did you?"
"Actually, I did. But ... it was really vague," Jon said. "I just wished for something interesting to happen. You don't think that this is what the wish did, do you?"
"I don't know. But if no one but you heard the wish, then no one but you would notice that anything was different. Isn't that how the stone works?" she asked.
"Yeah, that's how it works. So what are you saying? These people in my house are still my mom and sister, but they just look different? Or are they complete strangers who only think they're my family?"
"I don't know," the girl said.
