Adelinde stomped her boot-clad foot. "What the fuck are we gonna do about Tammy Freeman and her fucking band?"
"Whatever the fuck we need to," Quill said.
Suddenly Adelinde grabbed her head and groaned in pain.
"You alright?" Jacey asked her.
Adelinde blinked and looked around at the other band members with dazed eyes. "Where am I? How did I get here?" Mentally, she was Linda Madison again, the former mother of Jon. Then a flood of additional memories filled her head. She remembered turning into a Goth girl named Adelinde Malady. She looked down at herself in shock. She was still wearing the strange outfit she found herself in that morning when Jon came home. A sleeveless gothic dress, black with purple trim. Three violet belts hooked around her stomach - one just below her bust, one at her waist, and one running over her navel, making a sort of makeshift corset. The skirt of the dress was ripped off halfway down the sides, showing off the fishnet stockings covering her otherwise bare legs. A pair of knee-high boots with incredibly high platform heels covered her feet, decorated with buckles shaped like skulls. The skull motif repeated itself in her choker, which clasped a silver skull to her throat. Her arms were clad in fingerless fishnet gloves that reached almost up to her shoulders, showing off her long black nails. It was like something her daughter Zoe might wear. Only she was wearing it.
She remembered everything that happened after she began changing. Her time at the coffee shop and then later at the Spiked Pit, which was where she was now. She remembered how pissed off she constantly was. It was all so alien to her.
"Come on, Adelinde," Quill said. "What the fuck's up with you?"
