Strangely, the powers unleashed by Jon's careless wish seemed to hear the boys' conversation, and in a flash almost the entire student body found themselves wearing new clothing. The new outfits ran the gambit, but it seemed they varied towards the boy's wish: the majority of the changed outfits were now feminine, and many tended towards more racially and ethnically distinctive outfits.
The students, however, seemed to take the change largely in stride. "What were we talking about again?" one of the two boys who were discussing the school's ethnic diversity just a moment before asked. He was now decked out in a Chinese cheongsam dress, sleeveless and red with a gold dragon embroidered on it.
"I'm not really sure..." the other said, glancing down at his own outfit, which was a modernized version of the traditional Indian lehenga.
"Now, before we get into the matter of the library, I was hoping to talk about equal opportunity on campus..." Allison began.
Debbie held up a hand. "Allow me to explain. Lake Point High is well aware that the female portion of the student body outweighs the males by almost a two to one ratio, but the truth of the matter is that Lake Point itself seems to have a strangely high amount of female births in this generation."
Allison, confused by Debbie's answer, glanced down at her notes. "Um... actually, I was referring to the matter of ethnic diversity."
"Oh. Yes, we here at Lake Point take great pride in our large amount of diversity. Fully counted, we are believed to be among the twenty most diverse high schools in the country," Debbie said, as her eyes began to develop epicanthic folds.
Allison hesitated, more confused than ever. She looked back down at her notes, trying to figure out the incongruousness between what her note said and what the assistant principal was telling her.
