"2 year old baby!" Jon's jaw dropped when he read it. He was going to be spending however long living as a baby with strangers playing the role of his new family. This was going to be humiliating but at least everyone knew he had no choice.
His new address was written down and it was just down the street from his home so he made his way there, admittedly quite slowly. He felt like he was a dead man walking but there was no other options. He would have to follow the rules or who knows what consequences he would face.
Arriving at the house Jon saw there were lights on and he could hear other people inside. Opening the door Jon saw 3 people from school standing in the sitting room, all looking as bewildered as he felt. Jon felt his first bit of good luck when he saw that Karyn was one of the three. His friend Pete was the other and the fourth person was Biff Meadows. All three had similar paperwork in their hands and they all greeted Jon as he came in.
Biff seemed to be taking the lead. He was trying to encourage everyone to just take to their new roles and try to help each other through the next few weeks. Jon took a seat on the couch and asked the others what roles they had been assigned. Biff explained that he was given the role of a single mother of three children. Pete would be his teenage daughter and Jon and Karyn would be 2 year old twins. Biff was a single working mom and while he had the next few days off he would soon have to start his job while Pete would have to go back to high school and Jon and Karyn would be going to daycare.
The experiment allowed a short window for the participants to discuss and get used to the idea but that time was up. Taking the lead, Biff handed them all a set of headphones to listen to. They would all be given some hypnotic suggestions to help them adjust to their new roles. Most of it would be left up to them but there would be some changes to help them comply. Not knowing what the results would be they each said goodbye and wished each other luck before putting the headphones on.
