Mildly annoyed by Trevor's cursing, Amber called the next band member.
Dr. Nakahashi was covering for Dr. Kaufman, who used to be the Madisons' regular pediatrician. He was getting used to hearing from strangers, but Amber's call was a total surprise.
"Excuse me?" he asked.
At least he wasn't as rude as Trevor had been. Amber got to the point instantly. He had to come right away to the room of somebody named Molly. Now.
But Dr. Nakahashi didn't know anyone named Molly. Unless she meant Molly Leer, the wife of Grady Leer, a local police officer. But that Molly was a grown woman and furthermore, she didn't have any children. So why was it so urgent for him to get there? He didn't know, but he found himself leaving to go to the hotel anyway.
He walked past a nurse who asked "Doctor?"
