Sandra Matthews, the mother of the former Mike "Moose" Matthews, was out of town (but heading back in at that moment) and calling home to talk to her husband. But oddly, it wasn't her husband who answered the phone.
"Leer residence. This is Molly speaking. How may I help you?" came a woman's voice over the phone.
Sandra was obviously confused. "Leer? Sorry, I must have the wrong number," she said, before disconnecting.
She tried again, making sure that she entered the right number this time, but that same woman answered the phone again.
"Well, maybe you have the number wrong, sir," the woman said.
"I'm a woman," Sandra corrected her.
"You're a woman? Oh, sorry. It must be a bad connection. Have a nice day."
Sandra frowned. "Sir?" she muttered. She didn't sound anything like a "sir". Why was it so hard to identify her as a woman?
She looked up from her cellphone and saw that she had just passed the city limits sign. She'd be home in only a few minutes, so she'd get to the bottom of this soon enough.
Sandra put her phone away and that's when she noticed that her clothes looked different. "What the ..."
