"They both book different bands, right?" Danny asked.
"That's right," Gloria said. "The Spiked Pit's one is called Death Pew. They're pretty hard rock, and their lyrics are pretty freaky, but they're actually really good. In fact, let's go out and give them a try."
Danny shrugged. "Sure, if you say so. When?"
"We'll work out details later, once we talked to the others going to this shindig," Gloria said.
The bell rang for class to begin, and the conversation ceased. As the teacher took attendance, however, Gloria leaned over and whispered in Ricky's ear. "Tonight, we're going to show Danny your inner wild child. And don't you worry, you'll be loving every second of it."
Ricky gulped, but knew Gloria had the best intentions in mind, so nodded in affirmation. Satisfied, Gloria leaned back, pretending to listen to the teacher, but in reality already planning on how to make Ricky the kind of girl Danny would fall for.
