Denise Brewster, meanwhile, had finished her grocery run, and was in her car driving home. The problem was, Denise wasn't exactly sure where "home" was. Part of her told her she lived alone in a loft apartment downtown, but another part of her insisted that she lived in a home not far away with Nadie. Nadie? Isn't that the strange woman who called me? she wondered, even as she found herself turning in the direction of the house.
Her clothing had changed since the call from Nadie, going from a woman's business suit to a much more casual fair of a blouse and a pair of jeans, along with a pair of glasses Denise found herself needing more and more.
Denise's body itself had also changed since the call, having shed three years of her age. Her neat dark hair was growing longer, lighter, and more unruly, while her weakening eyes were shifting to a hazel color.
She turned the car, screeching to a halt to avoid hitting someone standing directly in the middle of the road. Confused, Denise put her car in "park" and exited to see what the stranger wanted.
"I'm sorry, can I help you?" Denise asked the person in question.
