"Sir, you need to see this," a soldier told General Preston in his office.
The general followed the soldier down a hall and then all the way to one of the interrogation rooms. Through the two-way mirror, they saw a man who was wearing the clothing that the fake colonel had been wearing. But this was not the same person. Not exactly.
"That's impossible," the general said.
"It's the same person. We have it on video. If you speed it up, you can actually see him change. Oh, and now his says that his name is York Rogers. We told him that he said that his name was Yuki Rogers, but he doesn't seem to recall that. He wants to talk to you."
"And I want to talk to him," the general said. "But first thing's first. Whatever is happening to this man ... I think we may need some extra help with it. I know a man who deals with strange things like this."
"Sir?"
"His name is Steven Kendall."
"How do I contact him?" the soldier asked.
"You don't. I do." He turned and headed away. "I'll be in my office."
