At a lull in the practice, Quill took time to walk over to Alana. Sorrow's suggestion, which by most of the band's memory usually only made a bit of mischief or ruffle a few feathers, had had a massive effect upon Alana. Since at the time she was still changing from Leonard to her new self, Sorrow's suggestion served to completely alter her new final self.

Alana was still a teenage Latina, but she looked quite different than the good girl she was supposed to be. Her dark hair now dyed about six different colors, and her face was accented with dark makeup. She was dressed in a shirt from the last Death Pew concert (even though that concert never actually happened), a pair of ripped jeans. She didn't look gothic, not quite, but she certainly looked the rebellious sort that was Death Pew's usual demographic.

"Look, the concert isn't until tonight," Quill explained.

Alana shrugged. "Not like I have anything better to do."

"Shit, shouldn't you be in school something?"

Alana looked at Quill in disbelief. "You want me to be in school? Don't you guys have a song that's literally about burning down a school?"

"Look, our keyboardist wrote that, and she claims its about some symbolic shit and... That's not the point. The point is that while school fucking sucks, if your parents or teachers freaked out and called the police we could have a problem. The police knocking down the door in search of some missing kid is not the best way to start a gig."

"Says you!" Adelinde shouted across the room.

Quill flipped her singer the bird, then turned back to Alana. "Look, could you at least just go call whoever and let them know you're not bloody kidnapped or whatever. Then you can do whatever the fuck you want."

"Yeah, you could go back to school, spread the word," Sorrow offered as she walked by towards the bathroom."

"Not helping," Quill said. "Alright, come on, just do this, and after the concert, I'll let you touch Angelique's guitar."

Alana's eyes widened. Angelique's guitar was the stuff of rumors and legend amongst Death Pew's fanbase. "Angelique would let me touch the Plague Doctor?"

"Sure, fuck it, whatever, just get to wherever you should be."

Alana nodded, pulling out her cell and walking outside to make the call in some privacy. Quill, satisfied that the band had finally sorted out its troubles, turned back towards the others, only to hear a stream of expletives come from Adelinde.

"What is it now?" Quill asked, walking over. Adelinde merely pointed to Jacey, who was staring down at her smart phone. "Alright, what is it now, Jacey?" Jacey didn't respond immediately, so Quill tried again. "Jacey..."

Jacey looked up this time. "Oh, sorry. I was just going online to check which way sepukku was supposed to go, right to left of left to right-"

"Left to right," Angelique said, as if it was as obvious as the sky being blue.

"-when I saw something on one of the local news feeds," Jacey finished, turning the screen to Quill. "Guess who's in town tonight?"

Quill took one look at the screen. "Aw, goddamn mother-"
