(This is mostly A51's Gladys' Pride Branch, but with a small addition and a few slight changes. Just wanted Gladys to take a slightly less Sarahesque tone)

"So who was that guy who talked to you during class?" Danny asked Gladys, as they walked through the hallway during their break between first period and second period. Gladys was walking with a certain pride in herself that she never had before. Not arrogance, but a confidence that she had never experienced in her old life. She was no longer nagged constantly about the disapproval of everyone else.

"That was my stepfather. He married my dad a year ago," Gladys said, answering Danny's question. Something about that statement seemed odd for some reason, but she just shrugged it off.

"What did he want to talk about? You're not in trouble, are you?"

"No, no. Nothing like that. He just wanted to make sure I had enough medication. I told him that I did."

"Medication? I didn't know you took medication. Are you alright?" Danny asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. It's just an antidepressant. I took it pretty hard when my mom left, and a couple years ago I was diagnosed with depression."

"Depression? That's funny, never imagined you to be depressed at any point. I'm mean you're always so positive and popular..."

"I wasn't just being mopey or anything, it was an actual clinical thing. Anyhow, the medication really helps, and thankfully I don't need to use them that often anyhow. But it's nice to know I have them on hand, just in case."

"Alright, if you say so," Danny said, as the pair headed for there next class.
