"Susan, your phone is ringing."
Susan McMillan, who was the mother of Sarah McMillan just a few hours ago, was in the middle of one of her modeling shoots. She didn't like getting interrupted, but maybe the call was important. So she walked over to her phone, dressed only in a sexy bra and panty set and a pair of 4-inch heels.
"Hello?" she asked, answering it.
"Susan, we're meeting at the Spiked Pit right now to practice. Get there as soon as possible." Then the line went dead.
Who was that? A wrong number maybe? The woman did call her "Susan", but maybe the call was for someone else with that name.
Susan walked back in front of the camera, but stopped suddenly when she noticed that her clothes were different.
Jay Duncan was walking home with Kyla Leeson and Leonard Drullers when his cell phone began buzzing. He checked the number and even though he didn't recognize it, he answered it anyway. "Hello?" he asked.
"This is Gretchen," said the woman on the other end. Jay didn't recognize the voice, but her dispassionate tone struck Jay as a little eerie. "Our presence is required at the Spiked Pit."
"Wait, what?" Jay said, perplexed by this strange request. Gretchen, however, had already hung up. Jay closed his phone, shrugging at Kyla and Leonard.
"Who was that?" Kyla asked.
"Not sure. Some woman," Jay said. "But now that I think about it, she did sound pretty familiar ..."
Leonard opened his mouth to say something, then noticed what Jay was wearing. "Dude, what's with the getup?"
"What getup?"
Leonard pointed at Jay. "Dude, you're dressed like one of those Goth chicks from school."
