"Wait right here," Jennifer said. "I need to go get something from my locker."
Jon nodded and watched his friend turn the corner into another hallway. Her locker wasn't that far away, so he didn't have long to wait. At least, that's what he thought.
After too much time had passed by, Jon got concerned and walked around the corner and towards the locker. But she wasn't there. "Jennifer?" he asked.
He paused. Did he know someone named Jennifer? He shook his head, then headed to his next class alone. He had this feeling that he was heading to the class with someone else, but that was ridiculous, right?
Nadine headed back to apologize to Stephanie. She saw her walk into the girls restroom, so she followed her in there.
"Stephanie, I'm sorry I yelled at you. I just don't feel like myself today," Nadine said. When there was no reply, she asked "Stephanie?" There was complete silence.
She paused. Did she know someone named Stephanie? She shook her head, then headed out of the restroom. She really was having memory problems today.
Stephanie and Jennifer looked at each other strangely. How had they gotten here? They were just at school and now they were in the middle of Chesapeake Park, sitting on a park bench. But their unexplained trans-location wasn't the strangest thing. Both girls were dressed differently.
