Tiffany realized she didn't have her house keys, so she rang the doorbell. The door opened, revealing her mother.
"Yes? Can I help you?" she asked Tiffany.
That puzzled her. Why would she ask that? Of course she could help her. She could let Tiffany in so she could get out of this ridiculous getup. But instead of saying that, she said something that puzzled her even more.
