Once they got in the car, Mikey suddenly became confused and Linda noticed.
"What's wrong, Mom?" she asked.
"I can't seem to reach the pedals," he said, referring to the gas pedal and brake pedal. He wasn't tall enough ... yet. "I don't understand. I just drove this car yesterday." He paused for a moment. Something about that statement felt wrong. But he wasn't sure what.
"I could drive," Linda suggested.
Mikey chuckled. "I know you want to help, dear, but I think you're a bit too young for that."
Linda looked down at her legs. Unlike her mom, she had to bend her knees to fit into the car. Since she had longer legs, didn't that mean that she could drive?
