Jon walked down the street, counting his blessings that no one was around to see him, until he turned a corner and nearly walked right into someone.
"Sorry," he muttered, then went beet red when he realized that the person was seeing him dressed as a girl. But the person's reaction was not one that he expected.
"No problem, miss," the man said, then continued on.
Jon turned and looked at the man as he walked away. Did Jon really look that much like a girl that the man mistook him for one? He walked down the street a little more and looked at himself in a storefront window. He still looked like himself, other than the clothes he put on at the laundromat. So he definitely did not look like a girl. So why did that man act like Jon did?
He shook his head. Maybe he misheard what the man said. He was obviously under a great deal of stress at the moment.
So, putting it behind him, he continued his way home, not realizing that his body began to slowly change. His hair becoming a little longer and his skin becoming hairless and smooth.
Meanwhile, back at the laundromat, the newest arrival was waking up.
