Beginning to panic, Jon grabbed a shirt, not really looking at which one he picked until he put it on. Unfortunately for him, it was the shirt with the words I'M WEARING MY MOM'S UNDERWEAR written on it. Rolling his eyes, he resolved to run to his bedroom to change into something less offensive before someone in his family saw him. He worried about what sounded like a party on the other side of the laundry room door, but he would laugh off the shirt if caught, saying it was a dare.
He threw the door open and was met by a wall of sound. Music was playing, people were talking, bursts of laughter spattered into conversation all around him. It seemed that there was indeed a party happening. He recognized kids from his school, popular and unpopular, all apparently having a great time.
When did this happen? he wondered.
