Zoe stopped walking suddenly, as her surroundings didn't look familiar. Where was she? She was so engrossed in her own thoughts about everything from how her friends ditched her to how much she hated her family that she didn't even notice that she must have taken a wrong turn sometime in the last half an hour or so and ended up in a completely unfamiliar place.
She walked a little more in the direction she was heading in, hoping to find a street sign so she could figure out where she was and how she could get back to where she veered off, but there didn't seem to be any other streets connecting with this one. She must have been on the outskirts of town. How the hell did she walk out this far without even noticing?
Up ahead, she saw some lights and quickened her pace. And once she arrived to the building she spotted, she realized that it was some kind of nightclub. But it wasn't the club she intended to go to. Still wondering where she was exactly, she ran over to one of the people waiting in line to get into the club.
"Excuse me," she asked a college-aged guy. "Do you know where ..."
"Zoe? Is that you? What the hell are you wearing?" the guy asked. "You're a little under-dressed to impress the ladies. Don't you think?"
Ladies? What the hell was this guy talking about? And did Zoe know him? Oddly, he did seem a bit familiar for some reason, but she just couldn't quite place his name.
"Zoe, are you okay? You seem a little out of it."
"I am," she said. She just didn't understand what was happening. First, she wandered off to this club and then she met someone who apparently knew her, even though she didn't know him.
At that moment, another college-aged guy walked over. "Oh, hey, Zoe. Hey, Chad," he said. Was that the boy's name? Chad? But Zoe didn't know anyone by that name. Or did she? She was so confused right now.
"Hey, Kyle," Chad said. "I was just telling Zoe that she should change her clothes."
Kyle looked at Zoe and frowned. "You know, Chad's right. You really should put something better on. Fortunately for you, I've got some extra clothes in my car. You can use them. But don't intend on keeping them."
Zoe was more confused than ever. What were these two guys talking about? Sure, what she was wearing wasn't exactly the kind of clothes she preferred to wear, but it was hardly anything bad. And why did this Kyle guy act like he knew her? She had never seen him in her life. Although, just like with Chad, there was something oddly familiar about him.
"Come on, dude. Let's get you dressed before Nadine and Grace show up. You want to make a good first impression with the babes, right?"
Zoe didn't understand any of this, but she reluctantly went with him to his car anyway.
What Zoe didn't know was that Chad used to be a college girl named Sydney Westmore just a few hours ago and that Kyle used to be Kelly Robertson, a teacher from Zoe's own high school. But thanks to the magical shirts that they put on, they were both now college-aged studs. And soon, Zoe would be too. She hadn't noticed it yet, but she was already two years older and her body was much more masculine than before her absentminded walk across town.
Meanwhile, back at Heather Chang's house ...
