Jon stared at the empty crib and realized that he was panicking. He was a guy now, but he had wished that he was only pregnant when he had a vagina. And he didn't have a vagina. He had had various problems trying to put on the clothing that changed himself while he was pregnant, but he had the clothing on now. If the clothing made the pregnancy vanish, does the baby vanish too, even if it's outside of his body?
Unknown to him, Zoe had wished that Jon wouldn't deliver a baby, and would change back to his own self, but she hadn't said anything about no longer being able to change with clothes (which would have reversed a wish), or about the baby existing after the time when the delivery would have happened.
Jon stood up and slid his pants down. A sleeping baby appeared in the crib, instantly and without any sound. "Jana?" said Jon, but didn't want to wake the baby.
Jon slid his pants up. All of a sudden the baby wasn't there any more.
He tried it with his shirt. His breasts reappeared, but nothing changed about the crib. Apparently it required a vagina in order for him to have had a baby. He wondered how far that would go. What if it was 20 years later and Jana was driving him somewhere and he put on pants... no, that's absurd, he wouldn't be naked in a car. Did Jana have memory gaps when she was gone or did she remember things as if she had always been there? But that wasn't important, it isn't going to matter for a while what the baby remembers. Do people notice her disappearing and reappearing?
For that matter, what about the one month of pregnancy advancing in a day part? Unlike the other questions, that one was important.
Jon took his stone and said "I wish I knew whether Jana continues to age rapidly even after the end of the pregnancy."
Zoe instantly knew of the wish, of course. But now that Jon had wished to know how it worked, she'd have to figure out how it was supposed to work. She had never decided that! She'd have to decide what she wanted for that. "Granted. The way it works is that...."
