Sydney barely got away from the restaurant when she suddenly heard a door being knocked open.
"Dude, where are you going?" a voice asked.
She turned around and saw Matt. Was this his attempt to try to rectify their date? Because it wasn't going to work. He went out of his way to ruin it and she wasn't going to give him a second chance. Wait a minute, she suddenly thought. Did he just call me "dude"?
"Sydney, what the hell are you wearing? Is that a skirt?" Matt asked, almost shocked.
Well, of course it was a skirt. What else would she be wearing? But oddly, the more she thought about it, the more strange it sounded. Why would she be wearing a skirt? Guys don't wear skirts. Wait a minute, she thought. Why would I think I was a guy? She shook her head in confusion.
"Come on. I've got some spare clothes in my car," Matt said. "You should change before someone sees you. You have a reputation to uphold, you know."
Sydney really did want to go home, back to her dorm room, but instead she found herself following Matt to his car. She had a feeling that she really did need a change of clothing after all.
