The fact that this teenage girl called him mom certainly bothered him for a little bit but he quickly just brushed it off. "I'm sure it was just a slip of the tongue." he says to himself as he heads back into his bedroom to focus on the other thought that was on his mind.
"I know I have something to do tonight but I can't seem to remember exactly what it is, only that I have to get ready for it." he says to himself as he grabs his wallet and keys and stuffs them in his pocket before heading towards the living room.
On his way out, he passes by Athena's room and notices that she's in there modeling the dress that she plans to wear at the dance tonight. And she just so happens to catch Steve walking by. "Hey mom do you think you could give me your honest opinion on how this looks?" she asks as she gives him a full frontal view of her profile.
Steve doesn't even acknowledge the fact that she once again referred to him as mom as his brown hair is now shoulder length and looks shinier than it did before as he looks her over. "Honey you look beautiful, I'm sure your date will be the luckiest guy there tonight." he says.
Athena blushes at that comment. "Thanks mom, but don't you have something to get ready for tonight?" she asks.
Steve shakes his head to remember that. "Oh right, yea I gotta get going. If you're having any trouble, just give me a call and I'll be back as soon as I can." he says as he heads out the door.
