Impatient about his predicament, Jon grabbed the shirt closest to him and threw it on. Unfortunately for him, it was the blue sweatshirt with the words "Female Body Inspector" written on it. Rolling his eyes, he resolved to run to his bedroom to change into something less offensive before someone in his family saw him. He worried about what sounded like a party on the other side of the laundry room door, but he would laugh off the shirt if caught, saying it was a dare.
He threw the door open and was met by a wall of sound. Music was playing, people were talking, bursts of laughter spattered into conversation all around him. It seemed that there was indeed a party happening. He recognized kids from his school, popular and unpopular, all having a great time.
When did this happen? he wondered. He didn't have long to dwell, though, as Biff Meadows, the star quarterback of the football team, approached him and slapped him a high five.
"S'up."
Strange, Jon thought. Biff has never given me the time of day before, now he's high-fiving me?
If Biff noticed anything strange, he didn't let on. Instead, he said "So, who are you gonna do first? There's a lotta chicks here."
Do first? Was Biff talking about sex? Jon thought that maybe he was, but why was he asking Jon that? Why was he even talking to Jon at all?
"Um, you'll have to excuse me for a minute, Biff," Jon said, squeezing past him. "I've just got to run to my room for a minute."
