Joey trembled, thinking Karyn. The whole yearbook. The whole town. I changed everybody. But why do they remember who they used to be? I thought Grandpa said changes would made as if they had always been so unless someone was either within earshot of the wish or out of range. I was at home alone when I made my wish. Nobody could have heard me. No ... maybe Mom or Dad ... not likely but remotely possible ... but Karyn? How?
But then he remembered that his wish was vague. Anything could have happened because of it, and that included everyone remembering the previous reality. It was as if he had made a wish specifying that, even though he didn't.
"Jon!" Baron yelled over the phone. "Fix me, you little twerp! Or I'll come over there and make you fix me!" Suddenly, the line went dead.
"Who was that?" Rain asked, looking up from the bed.
Trouble, Joey thought.
