When Karyn finally showed up, Jon was definitely shocked. At first, he wasn't even sure it was Karyn. But after looking at the boy closely, he did see a family resemblance. If Karyn had a brother, he might look a lot like this.
"Do you think it's funny, turning me into a boy?" Karyn asked, with an angry tone of voice.
"Karyn, I didn't turn you into a boy. I just made a vague wish and I guess this is what happened." Then he realized something. Something that he should have realized right when he saw the "new" Karyn, but for some reason it slipped his mind.
"Jon, stop looking at me like that," Karyn said. Jon still had to get used to that new voice. But Karyn had to even more so, since she'd probably have it for the rest of her life.
"Your breasts. They're gone," Jon said.
"So?" Karyn asked, still angry.
"Wishes can't be reversed, remember? You should still have them. In fact, you should still have the long blond hair too."
"My hair isn't long anymore, but it is still blond."
"Yeah, okay. But since wishes can't be reversed, your hair should still be long and you should still have large breasts. But as you are, you don't."
"What does that mean?" Karyn asked.
"I guess my vague wish found a way around your wish, without contradicting it. You know, in a way, you should be relieved."
"In what way?" she asked, getting irritated again. She looked down at the bulge in her pants and looked away quickly. She didn't even want to think about what was hanging between her legs.
"Well, you were complaining about how big your breasts were. Now that they're gone, you don't have to worry about them anymore."
"I wanted them smaller, Jon. Not gone."
Jon shrugged. "You know, I wonder if your ... uh ... metamorphosis was the only outcome of my wish."
"What do you mean?"
"My wish was so vague that I had no idea what it would do. I'm just wondering if this is the extent of it."
"I hope so," Karyn said.
