"She found out that I'm pregnant," said Zoe. "She knows about everything. The incest, the secret dates. It's all my fault. I know you said we could keep it a secret, but I didn't think you could get me pregnant. I was so sure that I stopped taking contraceptives. It must have happened that time when the condom broke. I missed my period, so got a pregnancy detector, just to be safe. It was positive, Jon. I'm pregnant! I threw it away, but Mom took out my garbage and found it. I was going to tell you; honest! But mom got to me first. When she confronted me with it, I couldn't lie to her, so I told her everything. She would have found out eventually, when I started showing."
Jon was stunned. He had apparently not only been hiding an incestuous relationship with his sister from their parents, but had gotten his little sister pregnant!
"I can't believe this," shouted their mother. "If I hadn't seen the pregnancy kit myself, who knows how long this would have gone on without my knowlege. Imagine, my own children, fucking each other! She's only 14, Jon, and you've been partners since she was, what, 12 or 13?"
"Twelve," said Zoe, starting to grow defiant. "Ever since I really started to notice boys, I've wanted him. And he was there for me. He understood me and gave me what I needed. I was so lonely, Mom. You taught me about sex, but Jon taught me about love. Jon and I love each other, Mom. I'm sorry we hurt you, but our love is true, and we're going to give our baby a loving home."
Jon sat down on the couch and hugged his sister. She was still crying and their mom was still yelling. His baby sister was having his baby! He had always been kind of protective of her, but in this new wish-altered reality, it had taken on a whole new form. He wondered how they would cope.
