"Jon," Zoe said. "Could you be my new boyfriend?"
"What?" he asked, not quite believing what he thought he heard.
"It would make Chad so jealous." Chad was her boyfriend. Correction, ex-boyfriend.
"Uh, Zoe. I don't think ..."
She glared at him. "You're going to do it," she ordered. "I'm not letting him dump me. I will get him back."
"Zoe, I'm your brother. I don't think it would be ..."
"I don't care. I want you to be my boyfriend and that's that. Now come on," she said, standing up. "We have to be seen in public."
"What?"
"You heard me. I can't make Chad jealous unless he sees me with you. Now, come on," she said, pulling Jon to his feet and then out into the hallway.
