Michelle got home from school and put down some of her stuff. Her parents were helping to bring the boxes in from the car. There was a lot to bring it. It was impressive what was in that room by the end of 4 years at a boarding school. She started to unpack, when she decided to put on her necklace. Mikey morphed into himself, and the boxes seemed a little lighter to move around. Partway through the unpacking, he decided to take the necklace off. The underwear drawer went from dark colored boxers to light colored panties and thongs, His closet became a mixture of skirts, dresses, shirts and pants. His dresser became a little larger and his desk changed to have a few items for makeup. His backpack went back to the satchel bag he had brought up as Michelle. This was her real world, the one without the necklace. Maybe she should just get rid of it? Just then her mother knocked at the door.
"How's my high school graduate doing?"
"Just fine mom. What's up?"
"It's been a while since we did a mother/daughter trip. I booked something for us before your dad and I do our walking tour across the pond. What do you think, sweetie?"
"What did you have in mind?"
"I want it to be a surprise. Just trust me." Mikey gave it some thought. He didn't have any plans for a bit, and this time his mom probably wouldn't talk to him about his body or whatever, so he replied with a shrug saying "sure."
"Great, we leave in an hour. You should bring a nice outfit, like that black dress in the closet, and a bathing suit. I recommend something comfy too, when we are relaxing. I'll meet you downstairs." His mom just about skipped out of the room. Michelle took out everything from her satchel and put in stuff that her mom suggested, and then a few things, like underwear and his toiletries. She decided not to change out of her current outfit and went downstairs, where her dad was watching something on TV.
"Your mom is really excited you said yes to her idea. She, actually we both, see our little girl growing up and just want a little extra time. Maybe you'll understand someday if you have kids. Not too soon though."
"I think I get it. Do you know where we are going?"
"Your mom wouldn't tell me either, but I'm sure it's somewhere fun. She surprised your sister with a mother/daughter trip to Montreal when she graduated from high school. Your brother and I decided on a trip to NYC."
"Don't worry, sweetie, you'll love it," said my mother coming down the stairs with a small suitcase, "Ready to hit the road?"
"Sure, mom. Let me just text a few friends that I will be gone for a...." said/asked Michelle hoping her mom would fill in the blank
"Couple days, " answered her mom. Michelle let Diane, Rika and Davonne (apparently Davis had the necklace on, since the names in his phone changed) know and then the two ladies were on the road.
