Jon heard a familiar voice from the kitchen talking about a trip he went on with his co-pilot, which could only mean that grandma was there too. Jon dropped his backpack by the front door and ran into the kitchen, went to his grandpa and gave a long, hard hug.
"Hey Penny, good to see you too, " said Grandpa before giving a hug back. The smell of old tobacco and his grandparents garden was on his shirt. Tears came to Jon's eyes for a bit, before he moved on to hugging his grandma. His grandma hugged back, she smelling like perfume, different than his reality
"Hey sport, now that you've said your hellos, you have to clean up a bit, " said Jon's dad. He heard his grandma say how they were raising a sweet girl, causing Jon to wince a bit. He had somehow managed to forget, just for a moment, that his body wasn't actually his normal one. Jon went back to the front door, grabbed his bag and went upstairs. Dropping the bag in a corner, he closed the door and went straight to his laptop and opened it. He put his fingers on the keyboard, closed his eyes and started typing. He opened his eyes and pressed enter, not surprised that he was once again denied. Superpower and number, huh? There must be hints. He took his journal out and started reading in reverse chronological order. No entry from yesterday, but the day before had something. Biff asked her out, and apparently Penny wasn't happy about it. Apparently she didn't like the patriarchal tones of when Biff asked her out. It should be equal decision making on the date, and Biff planned the whole thing. The day before was something about a pop quiz in calculus. The day before was about Zoe and her talking about business ideas. He kept flipping back, finding nothing about superpowers in the last few weeks. Frustrated, he closed the journal to see some numbers doodled on the back. 13, 17, 31, 37, 71, 73. What were those? He was about to go to his computer when he realized he couldn't use it. But,his phone....
A quick search showed that they were emirps, or mirrored primes. Penny seemed to enjoy math, cause Jon never heard of them. Which of them was her favorite? Was one of them her favorite? At least it was something. He heard Taylor call for everyone to come down for dinner. The extended family sat around the table, enjoying the feast made by Taylor and their dad. Grandpa told stories of some prior adventures, with grandma filling in details or rolling her eyes at the right times. His grandparents asked each child how they were doing and actually listened, just smiling hearing about everyone's day. Grandma winked at Jon during his part of the storytelling. Zoe, Michelle and his mom started to clear the table, then Zoe hip checked Jon's chair and gestured with her head that Jon was supposed to be doing something, prompting him to remember the system. He got up and took something to the sink, and started to do some dishes.
While washing at the sink, he was reminded that sometimes breasts get in the way. They swung around and got in the way of his arms sometimes. When he got back to his reality, he wouldn't pick on Karyn about them again. After the dinner dishes were done, a pie that Taylor helped make came out of the oven. Zoe got some ice cream out of the freezer while Jon and Michelle sat down. The twins talked about how excited they were about ballet and grandma talked about her time as a professional dancer in the 70s. When Zoe and his mom got up, Jon remembered to get up this time too. Zoe was at the sink, so Jon just brought stuff over. Jon saw his dad get popcorn out of the pantry while his grandparents were getting away from the table. Taylor came up to her mom and asked if Grandma could stay for the episode tonight.
