"Is there a Jonathan Madison here?"

Jon's eyes widened. He looked at the mayor, then at the two men in black suits behind him... the white man wearing a men's uniform, and the African-American an dressed in a woman's pantsuit. Jon looked at Meagan, at Biff, at Janelle, then at last at Karyn, who was watching him, fear in her eyes. He'd been biting his tongue so far, but he supposed he didn't have a choice, did he? Besides, it might be nice to have the government on his side; perhaps together they could track down his missing wishing stone. So, turning back to the mayor and taking a step forward, he said, "I'm Jon Madi--"

He was suddenly interrupted, however, by the sight of Karyn, her expression furious, leaping forward and pouncing on the two men in suits. As Karyn and the men dropped to the floor, the man in the men's suit was replaced by a teenage girl, but the other man, the one in the woman's suit, remained unchanged.

"Karyn!" Jon shouted. "What the hell are you doing?"

While the girl who had swapped with the bodyguard tried to make sense of what had just happened to her, the agent dressed as a woman stood, taking a gun in his hand. "Bad move, kid," he growled.

"Jon," Karyn saidm staring up at the man, "I think we should run."

Karyn was right. It was probably too late to save thsemselves, but if they stayed here, Jon had a hunch this man would shoot Karyn. For her sake, at least, they were going to have to try to get away. Taking Karyn's handd, he pulled her to her feet, and together they sprinted through the house.

A moment later the crack of gunfire shook the living room. Instinctively, Jon dove to the ground. Before he even hit the floor, though, the room faded away into bright white light, and Jon wondered, with aching remorse, if he had just died.

As soon as it had appeared, though, the light faded, and Jon found standing in a different living room entirely. There was a teenage boy standing in front of him; Jon recognized the boy right away as his friend Tim Brant.

"How did I get here?" Jon wondered aloud.

Suddenly, though--before Tim could react, much less answer Jon--there was another flash and Jon was swept away again.

"...my God oh my God oh my God oh my God."

Jon turned, dazed, and saw a young woman in a police officer's uniform freaking out next to him. And no wonder; the two of them were sitting in a car, her in the passenger seat and Jon in the driver's seat--he noticed he was wearing a unifom identical to hers. The front end of he car was wrapped around a tall maple tree, and smoke poured ot of the engine. The woman appeared to be unhurt, but she was clearly terrified.

Jon began to speak to her, hoping he could console her, but before he could get a single word out, there was yet another brilliant flash of light.

Now he found himself in the cockpit of an airplane, staring down at a dizzying assortment of switches and gauges and controls. Next to him, a young man dressed in a pilot's uniform was shouting, "I don't know how to fly a plane! I'm not a pilot, I'm a law student! I can't fly!"

"I don't know how to fly a plane either," Jon said, with dawning terror. This time he actually hoped the light would come and snatch him out of this situation... and to his relief, it did.

Warm lips. And a wet tongue in his mouth.

Jon enjoyed the kiss for a moment; then he pulled out of it in shock and looked at the person he'd been kissing. It was a guy, probably twenty. "Is something wrong, baby?"

Jon looked at the guy in surprise and a little discomfort, then he looked down at himself. The two of them were seated on a park bench... or, rather, the guy was seated in the park bench. Jon was sitting in the guy's lap, his arms wrapped around the guy's neck, and Jon spotted the guy's hand sneaking up the skirt that Jon was wearing.

Jon was about to squirm off the guy's lap, but before he could get off, there was a switch of light and he was taken away anyway.

Jon fond himself looking into a face that he recognized. Sarah McMillan was lying on an operating table; she was topless, dressed only in a pair of jeans and tennis shoes. As much as he had fantasized about seeing Sarah topless--and he had, despite how she treated him--it was the ugly wound on her shoulde that caught Jon's attention. "Sarah?" he sad.

Sarah looked up at him in suiprise. "Melissa? Is that you?"

Melissa? Jon looked down at himself, but rather than Melissa's cheerleading uniform, he saw a set of nurse's scrubs. He looked back at Sarah. "No," he said, "I'm Jon Madison."

Sarah's expression turned sour. "Oh." Then her face lit up and she began laughing hysterically, though she stopped a minute later, grunting and reaching the hand on her good arm over to her bad shoulder. "Oh, that's rich," she said, breathlessly. "Jon Madison in the body of a wom---"

The light took Jon. He welcomed it.

When the light faded, Jon found himself lying on the ground in a tangle of bodies. A young girl, no more than eight, was lying on top of him, and next to him he saw an man wearing a bikini. Jon closed his eyes and braced himself for the next switch... but to his surprise, it didn't come.

Jon took a deep breath, glad the switches had finally stopped... though he didn't like what he saw as he struggled out from beneath the girl lying on top of him. Like the man next to him, Jon found himself wearing a very revealing bikini. This was even worse than Meagan's outfit had been. If he had to be a girl again, though, at least he'd had some practice now...

Just as he'd started to relax, however, there was another flash of light and the world vanished again.

It didn't take long for Jon to place his surroundings. He was on an airplane, though this time, fortunately, he was in one of the seats in back instead of in the cockpit. At the front of the plane, Jon saw the cockpit door open, and the young man who had been in the cockpit with him stepped out. "Excuse me, folks," he said, nervously,. "Does anyone here know how to fly a plane?"
No one seemed to notice, though, because all over the plane, people were beginning to come to themselves and realize that they had swapped bodies. Just to his left, Jon saw an attractive young brunette woman, dressed in a man's button-up-shirt and jeans, looking around her frantically. "Where am I? Where's Ashleigh? What happened to the quad?"

Jon frowned at the dress he was wearing, then turned to the woman next to him. Before he could say anything to calm her down, though, there was yet another flash of light, and he was elsewhere.
