"Give me those," Kendall said to Tim, pointing at the goggles sitting on the coffee table. Tim immediately complied. And seconds later, Kendall was wearing them. He looked out the window. "It couldn't be."
"Who is it?" Debra asked.
"Brick Harrison," Kendall said.
"Who's that?" Tim asked.
Kendall turned towards Tim and Debra. "Get out of here. This man is a former military officer. We served together, so I know how deadly he is. So get out of here."
"Where can we go?" Debra asked.
"What the hell do I care? Just find somewhere to hide and stay there. I'll take care of Brick."
Tim and Debra looked at each other, then darted out of the living room and further into the house. Being a friend of Jon's, Tim knew exactly where to go. And soon, Kendall was alone.
He never thought he'd come face-to-face with his "old friend". Of course, that was a long time ago and things change. But at one time, they were close friends.
Kendall walked over to the coffee table and picked up as many weapons as he could carry, then he approached the front door just as the doorbell rang.
"Come on outta there, you bastard!" he heard from outside.
Kendall braced himself for what would happen next.
