"Kendall?" the tattooed man asked at the door. There was a look of familiarity in his eyes, but Kendall didn't recognize him. But then he remembered that maybe this person wasn't who he thought he was. He reached up and turned on his goggles and suddenly he saw who was really standing in front of him.
"Miss Anderson," he said. "Funny meeting you here." He grabbed her and pulled her into the house, then he pushed her towards the rest of his "hostages".
"Are you okay, Scarlet?" Rachel asked.
"Yeah."
"Do you know this guy?" Rachel asked.
"Yeah." Scarlet looked disapprovingly at Kendall. "I know him."
"Oh, come now, Scarlet. May I call you Scarlet? You know, since we're all being so informal here." He smiled.
"Go to hell," Scarlet spat at him.
"That's not very nice," he said. "Is it, Morris?"
"No, sir," Morris answered.
Kendall walked over to Scarlet and grabbed her arm forcefully. Then he dragged her down the hall and into a bathroom. Once inside, he pushed her towards the toilet, where she nearly tumbled over. She turned around immediately and glared at him.
"Why are you here?" Scarlet asked.
"Why am I here? Have you looked around? A class three phenomenon? Which thanks to you witchy friend out there might become a class two."
"What are you talking about?"
Kendall leaned in towards her. "A member of your coven spiked the phenomenon."
"That's ridiculous. Why would anyone do that? Least of all someone in my coven?"
"Why do you think I'm still here? We wanted Jane Madison, but we also ..."
"We? Working with someone else now? I thought you were always a loner."
Kendall looked at her for a moment, then grinned. "They're working with me, not the other way around."
"How long are you staying here?" Scarlet asked.
Kendall smiled. "As I long as I need to be." He turned to leave, but then turned back. "You know, despite the fact that you've been a major pain in my ass over the years, it's still good to see you." He reached over and touched her face, but Scarlet retreated, with disgust. "Maybe we could have a little fun later. You know, like last time."
"I never want that to happen again. Magic should be used to benefit people, not ..."
"Who said it didn't benefit?" he said with a grin. "It benefited me."
Then he left, leaving Scarlet alone to figure out how to get out of this situation. The body swapping phenomenon was bad enough. But now they had to worry about Kendall too? This was turning into one really bad day.
