"You know, Karyn. I think I need a new look," Jon said.
"What do you mean?" she asked.
"I'm tired of being a boy. I wanna be a girl," he said.
Karyn slapped him in the head.
"Ow! Karyn, what the hell did you do that for?!"
"To knock some sense into you. Jon, you're not supposed to be a girl. You're a boy. You just look like a girl. Remember?"
Jon looked dazed for a moment, then nodded. "Right ... right. I'm sorry, Karyn. I don't know what's happening to me. It's like I'm acting more like ... like ..."
"Like a girl?" Karyn finished.
"Yeah. But why? Is this some sort of additional effect of my wish?"
"Wish?" Mary asked.
Jon and Karyn turned towards her. They were escorting her back to her house, but they suddenly forgot that she was there ... and listening to their conversation.
"It's nothing," Jon said.
Mary looked at him a moment longer, then turned away. "That's my house right there," she said, pointing.
They walked the rest of the way in silence. And then knocked on the door.
A moment later, the door opened and Jon saw a college-aged Asian girl wearing a plain sweater, a collared shirt, slacks and loafers. Clearly, she had been swapped.
"Father," Mary said, her eyes lighting up.
"I'm not your father," the girl said. "My name is Katie Li."
Mary's eyes fell. What had happened to her father then?
"Reverend Foster," a woman said, walking up to him.
Jacob turned and smiled. "Yes?"
"I just want to tell you that you've been a beacon of light during all of ..."
"That is such a cute top," Jacob suddenly said, cutting the woman off. "Where did you get it?"
"Huh?" the woman asked, confused.
"Uh ..." Jacob wasn't sure what he was talking about. He shook his head, then began to talk with the woman about how God was releasing his wrath on the town, pretty much what he had been saying for hours. Suddenly, Jacob felt a little off, like not himself.
Mary, Jon and Karyn walked into the house and were greeted by the people in the living room - the people who appeared to be members of Mary's family, but weren't.
"Does that heathen have to be here?" Katie asked Jon.
"What heathen?" Jon asked.
"Her," she said, pointing at Mary. "I don't want sinners in my presence."
"What are you talking about?" Karyn asked.
Katie's eyes suddenly widened. She really wasn't sure what she was talking about. Suddenly, Katie felt a little off, like not herself.
