The room that they put Meagan in was barely larger than a bathroom and actually seemed more like a well-furnished cell with a door than anything else.
Yes, she was their prisoner. But, apparently, it was for the greater good, since if she touched anyone not yet affected by the body swapping phenomenon, she would in turn cause them to swap with someone else. But she still didn't like being detained.
They gave her a bunch of magazines to read, and at first she enjoyed reading them. But after a while, it started to get boring (even though they were about her favorite topic - fashion). And as she tossed the magazine aside, she figured that maybe she just needed to get some sleep.
She laid back on the bed, trying to get comfortable, then she scratched herself between her legs, just like guys do (even though she really had no reason to). Then she fell asleep.
"Oh, man," Jon said, whining.
"What?" Karyn asked.
"I got my shirt dirty with that sand. You know, I think I should get a change of clothes."
"You know, we were already at your house. You had a chance to change then," Karyn said.
"I don't want those clothes, Karyn. I was thinking of getting something more ... purplish. Maybe get a halter. I seriously need something to enhance my feminine ..."
"Jon, what are you talking about? You're a guy, remember? You only look like a girl."
Jon blinked. "Yeah ... uh ... of course. I ... I don't ..." He stopped, and thought about what happened. "I'm not sure what happened, Karyn. Man, do I feel embarrassed. I can't believe I actually wanted to put on new girls clothes." He took a deep breath, then let it go.
"Better?" Karyn asked.
"Yeah. We better get going and find whoever took the stone."
"What about her?" Karyn asked, nodding towards the woman who had been crying.
"I don't know. Maybe we should take her with us. I wouldn't feel right just leaving her here. Especially with that invisible body over there."
