After they got at least a quarter of a mile down the road, Athena turned to Jon and asked "How did you know it was me?"

"Huh?"

"When you saw me getting beaten up by that girl, how did you know it was me?"

"Oh, uh ..." At the time, he wasn't really thinking when he said that and he hoped that Athena hadn't noticed. But she did and she was awaiting an answer. "For some reason, I can see what people really look like." It was a simple, although inaccurate, answer. He knew full well why he could see people as they really were. He heard the wish that caused all of this. But he didn't want to tell her about the wishing stone. Not unless he didn't have a choice.

"That's strange," Athena said. "There's only one person I can think of that can see past glamours, and it's not you. It's a very rare gift."

"Glamours?" Karyn asked.

"The illusion that people are perceiving. It's why I see you as a little girl instead of how you normally look." She turned towards Jon and said "Have you ever thought about becoming a witch? If you've got the gift ..."

"No," Jon said, quickly and firmly. "Listen. I'm more tolerant of you than that cheerleader girl back there, but you still kind of creep me out. No offense."

Athena nodded, then said "Maybe we should part ways."

"Just because of what Jon said?" Karyn asked.

"I need to make contact with my coven and see what's what. But good luck ... for whatever you're doing." And with that, she crossed the street and turned the corner down a different road.

"Come on, Karyn. Let's find that car and get the stone back."

Agent Kendall checked his watch and saw that it was nearing the time. He opened the briefcase next to him and took out a needle and a vial. He then filled the needle with the green liquid from the vial, and then injected himself with it. Then he put all of it back in the briefcase.

He sighed. "Another hour of protection," he said to himself. He looked out the window of the car and saw a large group of people surrounding a church. "Stop the car," he told the driver. Then he got out.

He walked up to one of the people (a woman) and asked her if she had ever seen the girl in the photo he showed her. She shook her head no. Then the agent continued to ask more of the people, until the one speaking to the crowd (a college-aged Asian girl, dressed in a conservative outfit) yelled out "It's my angel!" The girl quickly walked down the steps towards Agent Kendall and took the photo from him. "She is an angel of the Lord!" she excitedly proclaimed.

Agent Kendell gave the girl an odd look. Was she off her rocker? He grabbed the photo back. "She's not an angel. Her name is Meagan O'Shea. And right now she's being inhabited by a boy named Jon Madison."

"Hmph," the Asian girl uttered. "You are blind to the truth, young man. She is an angel and she spoke to me."

"I don't have time for this." He held up the photo in the air. "Has anyone seen this girl?" he asked loudly. "Anyone?"

"I have," a girl said.

Everyone turned and saw a girl dressed in a cheerleader's outfit.

"Uh ... she went that way," she said, pointing in the direction that Jon went in.

Agent Kendell smiled. "Thank you, miss."

As he got back into the car, the Asian girl continually tried to convince him that the girl in the photo was an angel. And that she gave him a dire warning of things to come. But the agent wasn't convinced, obviously.

"He was here," he said to his driver. "Keep driving straight. We'll catch up with him soon enough."

And then the car drove off.
