The pregnant man led them to their rooms. "We'll let you guys settle in," the man said. "We'll start with the sperm collection tomorrow."
As they had no clothes along, there was little to unpack, so they spent their time talking to the man who had greeted them. All of them wanted to feel the baby kick. "How many babies have you had?" asked Matt. "You said you knew how wonderful having a baby was, so you must have had a child before this."
"This will be my fourth baby," said the man, whose name was Richard. "I have two girls and a boy. My daughters are ten and eight. My son is five."
"Do all the people who work here get pregnant?" asked Karyn's dad.
"Yeah," said Richard. "Everyone who works here has had at least one baby, from the CEO on down."
"Do a lot of guys who come here have more than one baby?" Matt asked.
"About two thirds have more than one baby," answered Richard. "A few married men come here to know what their wives experience when they have a baby and don't get changed back. A few become the primary birthparent of their families, having more babies than their wives. Because of the sperm harvesting we do, men who keep their wombs have plenty of sperm to keep themselves and their wives pregnant as often as they want, allowing them to have twice as many children. A lot of the others are single men like myself who want children, and want to know what its like to be a mother, but aren't interested in a relationship. Most of the guys who have only one child are men who go back to having a penis. They typically carry a child because their wives who want babies but are in a position, due to things like business or travel, that dealing with pregnancy is inconvienient. When the wives have the opportunity to be mothers, the men typically switch back and their wives start having babies. A few years ago, we had a man come here because his wife couldn't have babies. He had himself switched and became a stay at home 'mom,' while his wife worked to support him and their children. Last I heard, he had just given birth to his third child."
"Do you know if this baby will be a girl or a boy?" asked Jon.
"I want to be surprised," said Richard. "Even if I wanted to find out, its not always that easy to tell."
"Why not?" asked Jon. "I thought that sonograms were pretty accurate."
"They are," said Richard. "But there is one side effect of the genital swap. Because of a genetic quirk of the genital swap, your DNA thinks boys are supposed to have vaginas, so about two-thirds of all boys are born with vaginas like their sisters, mothers and fathers. And their genitals are fully functional; when they grow up, they'll be able to have babies just like any normal woman. My son is like that, and doesn't find anything strange about him and his daddy having pussies like his sisters. He's already decided that he wants to be a mother. Honestly, if my baby is a boy, I hope he has a vagina like his brother and sisters."
"What about the nudity?" asked Matt. "How comfortable are they with that?"
"They grew up with nudity, so their perfectly comfortable with it," said Richard. "They're nude when they are here at the resort, which is most of the time. We sometimes wear clothing when going to town, but we sometimes go in the nude. When we wear clothes, I go in women's clothing. I enjoy crossdressing and its easier to find clothes that fit when you're eight months pregnant. The people in town are pretty used to both."
As Jon listened, he began to change his mind about getting pregnant. Richard seemed happy, even while raising three children by himself. And feeling the baby in his womb move sent the strangest feelings through him. He wanted to know what it was like to have that experience. With no more questions, Richard let them feel the baby kick one last time before leaving them to settle in for the night.
