In the Kitchen

Down stairs Jon and her family walked in to the kitchen and noticed 5 large folders on the kitchen table. They examined them and found they where filled with questionnaires and blank daily logs to be filled in for the scientist research. Jon flicked through hers and found questions on how she's been treated by others now she was a girl and a lot of questions on how she felt emotionally. Flipping the pages also she found a schedule of regular check up back at the clinic and some helpful guides to get her accustomed to being female.
After they had looked though the folders Jon's Dad spoke in her new female voice.
"Ok, so we're all the opposite gender now and we'll be this way for a month now," she said, "and as such I propose that we all choose a name to be called to reflect our new situation"
"Michelle!" Mikey cried.
"Ok so from now on Mikey is to be called Michelle. Zoe, what about you?"
"Zoe!" she answered grumpily.
"Now now, you can't still have you female name and you know that."
"Fine.... Zack!"
"Good. Now Jon?"
"Um I don't know..."
"Well you've had ages to come up with something. Come on, what have you picked?"
Jon thought fast.
"Joan?"
"Good! Joan is perfect" She said smiling. "Now as for us, we were thinking that you should call me Mom and you Mom Dad. After all it would be odd calling a woman Dad and a man Mom, wouldn't it?"
"That's right," Joan's Mom...Dad... agreed, "and if anyone need to use our first names I'll be Sam instead of Samantha."
"And I'll be Sally."
"Sally?" Joan asked surprised, "But you're real names David!"
"I know... I just want to be called Sally. I think I'd suit it"
At this point Zack complained about being hungry and Joan's Mom decided she's make dinner. Michelle asked if she could phone her friends and ask them over and left to do so. Joan decided now was her best chance to get to the stone and headed to her room.
