Eric entered her home and walked up to Carna with a look of hurt on her face. She didn’t appear to recognize her, what the potion had done to her husband which Eric took as a good sign. Perhaps she didn’t knowingly hurt her husband, perhaps she was under the control of the man and she still wanted and needed Eric.
“These are the results of the potion you gave me,” Eric explained as she dropped the bear blanket from her body revealing her nude and very female form.
Carna looked on astonished but she took a closer look at what this stranger had been wearing. Lifting the blanket she frowned as she realized the stitching was hers, this was the blanket she had given to Eric before he had left on his journey. They lived in a world where magic was common so it wasn’t unreasonable to think that her husband had been transformed by what she had given him.
“Why were you having sex with that man just a few minutes ago?” Eric moved close to the fire to warm her body. She tried to keep her the hurt from her voice, she just wanted to know if she needed to move on if there was no hope for them.
“I would never cheat on my husband,” Carna replied angrily but as she tried to remember what she had been doing a little bit before this blond woman entered her home she found her head hurt. She attempted to push past the block and it hurt but it just made her more determined to break it down. Flashes of a man with a deep, hypnotic voice came to her mind and she could feel tears welling in her eyes. “I’m so sorry, what have I done!?!”
Her wife sat down in the rocking chair and tried to assemble her thoughts. The man had done something to her, forced her to betray her husband, he needed to die. Anger lifted her from as she nearly stormed out of the house in order to hunt the man down. She didn’t know what the end of his plans was but he would suffer for the hurt he and caused her family.
Eric wrapped her arms around Carna glad to know she hadn’t betrayed her on purpose, “Was the man the same one who gave you the potion that changed me?”
“I think so my beloved,” Carna said as she tried to search her memories but every time she seemed to come close to see the man’s face it faded away like a ghost. “It is hard to remember, my mind has been altered and blocks have been put in place.”
“I love you so much,” Eric attempted to kiss her wife but she drew back in surprise.
“I’m sorry but it is strange to see you as a woman. If you wish we can kiss.”
“No, we should make plans for what we are going to do. I have lost the spirit of the Wolverine and you are pregnant so we don’t exactly make the best combat force.”
