“Sleep is what is needed because we have a long walk ahead of us in the morning,” Eric curled up under her furs to try and get some sleep. The others wanted to set up watch so she let them but she had placed alarms around the camp if anyone arrived. She would let her mind work out the details of what to do the next day.
Her mind quickly drifted off to slumber as she searched for the spirit of the Wolverine in the dreaming lands. Normally she could talk directly to the spirit in her own mind but she had lost her connection to it but spirits could be found while dreaming and even if she couldn’t find her own there would be others to guide her to be sure.
She was in front of an unfamiliar temple made of large stones, flowers of an amazing array of colors filled the ground with beauty and pleasant scents. Whoever commanded this place was not of his pantheon and that worried her. Eric had been certain one she knew would be here to great her and guide her but she was determined to not be frightened by this strange place.
Walking slowly up to the steps she realized her steps were echoing through the halls of the place announcing her presence. She looked down and saw she was wearing loose-fitting white silk outfit that threatened to fall off of her breasts and high heels. There was no difficulty in moving in the shoes she realized after taking a few more steps. Never before had Eric worn such shoes so how did she know how to walk in them?
“Serpha come forward,” words drifted in like they were floating on the breeze. “Be welcomed into my temple.”
“Whose temple is this?” Serpha asked, that was her new name, it had once been Eric but it was now Serpha. She was changing, was it because of the celestial being within? The woman walked into the temple to a brightly lit room with a giant pool in the center. Flowers floated in the steaming bath where a beautiful naked woman lounged at the far end of the pool. The blonde woman smiled at her warmly and waved for her to come over.
“You have many questions,” the woman said as she approached. “The answer to your first question is . . .”
