Mary wandered to Kara's room wondering why she hadn't seen her yet today. Waddling to her room she gently knocked asking if she felt alright. No response followed so she opened the door finding the bed made with no sign of Kara. Her curiosity peaked she searched about locating a note on the side table with Mary's name on it. The note was in Kara's handwriting.
Inside it read 'Mother I love father and you so dearly but must be with Bryant and can wait no longer. We are off to be married starting our life together as one. I know you will worry but I am safe with Bryant at my side. Please do not come after us. We will contact you when we are settled. My best wishes and love to the entire family.
Love you eldest daughter,
Kara'
Oh dear better tell Armand of this. The foolish girl putting herself in danger like this. She doesn't know if Bryant's intentions are true. Men sometimes led naive girls into compromising positions to satisfy their carnal lusts. Mary waddled to the study hoping to find Armand knowing her condition precluded her pursuing Kara. She walked into the study finding him deep into a magical text. He only looked up when she dropped the note on his chest. Armand broke from the book to reading the note asking afterwards, "I assume I best pack then. It looks like I am off on an adventure. Will you and the children be okay with me gone?" He stood giving his wife a kiss of reassurance.
Mary returned the kiss saying, "We will be fine though our lives a little sadder without you. Do be careful on the trip. I am sorry my daughter is causing you distress."
Armand shaking his head said, "Our daughter and it is good for me to get out the home once in a while. Plus I might get to try out some magic in practical situations."
