Karas wanted to get this ordeal over with. Goblins might dwell close and she had no way to defend herself from them. She also wanted the comfort of a warm meal and shelter that she could only find in civilization. She feared she might look like a wild woman but dismissed that thought and pressed on to town. As the sun began to lower itself in the sky she finally begins to see signs of settlement. A trail near the river started small but widened itself into a path big enough for a wagon to pull a horse through.
Braver villagers came here to fell trees for lumber the towering shadowy forest could provide much fuel for the stoves and hearths. The creatures of the forest provided both bounty and danger for those bold enough to take them. The bold or most desperate were those whose houses were closest to the forest.
Karas figured one of these homes would be her best bets to aid. As she made her way down the side of the path covered in the shadows of the trees that grew longer. Her delicate feet sore from the walk came more to her mind as the temptation to walk the cleared path. Instinct told her that walking beside it gave her better cover to hide herself if she needed to. She heard a horse up a short way up. The nipples on her now expansive chest began to harden at thought that she might be close to a man. She shook her head trying to get such thoughts out. Karas steeled herself and tried to work out her next move.
