Alana struggled against her inner desires to seize the bottle and guzzle it down. The horror at the thought of betraying those she counted on as friends and allies struck her. She might be transformed into a monster but surely she hadn’t sunk so low. She felt mostly in control of herself save her unnatural hunger that still possessed much of her concentration to suppress. She faced the odious creature that put in such a position saying, “I care not what your plans are. I will resist you in any and all ways that are within my power.”
Elliott smiled at her bravado, “Then how fortunate for me that you will have so little say in what is to come. Now drink down the bottle you will need your strength for this evenings exercise.” As the words left his mouth Alana felt the strength of them. His words commanded her and against her will her trembling fingers obeyed. She poured the contents down her throat sating the desire in her stomach. Elliott again spoke, “Now follow me there is much that you need to learn.” He abruptly turned around and led her through the stoned halls out out into the night air. The moon hidden behind clouds kept the surroundings dark but not to her newly acquired night vision. Every leaf and blade of grass of the nearby forest stood out in clear detail.
“Just, what do you have to teach me? The lesson I am interested in is how to break your control over me.” Alana hissed at him. She felt the fangs in her mouth extend with her growing anger.
A condescending smile formed on Elliott’s face as an idea formed in his mind. Elliott spoke bemused, “I am afraid that I have been remiss by not introducing myself. I am Elliott your lord and master but I am not without a sense of fair play. If you are able to survive on your own for a week without coming to me for help or feeding off a human I will release you from my control. What say you?”
