you to destroy the church of fiery light. The head abbot does not see the importance of paying respect to the kingdom that gives it protection. All the other churches pay this small tithe but he adamantly refuses. There are those who would frown upon me taking justifiable actions against the church directly, so I looked for creative solutions. That is where you come in. Let us call a truce between us. I will provide you with maps and information on key individuals. If something happens to them my knights will not actively pursue the issue. Long has the church been an active enemy of yours and your kind. What do you say? I give you safe conduct either way."

The ancient vampire considered his options before him. The church while an enemy posed no active threat to him. Elliott cared little for the rest of his kind seeing them as tools for his own amusement. It could be fun taking down the church and turning those most fiercely against undead into what they hated. If he turned the King the offer of safe conduct might disappear quickly. He did not trust King Emeril who betrayed a good church so completely.

"Your offer amuses me. I accept it and will begin after a little planning. One must not rush into these things." Elliott spoke with confidence. He figured with the King's men not pursuing him or his minions he could get away with murder... literally. He snickered to himself this would be fun and interesting. Who should he pondered as he waited for the king's response.

The King smiled pleased at the answer he said, "Excellent my men will remain explicitly ignorant of any of your actions. I think this will be a profitable operation for the both of us. You may go in peace now."

Elliott gave a grin and bowed to the King and smoothly twirled around and strode out with confidence. Elliott kept his senses sharp just in case the King changed his mind. As soon as he left the building stole himself into the shadows so that no one could follow. He shifted into a swarm of bats flittering to the wilderness and shifting back when he found a cave to enter.

Elliott decided that he should choose who to go after first. The church of fiery light holds my great champions. Should he strike against Alana the wandering paladin who responds to any call of aid for the church? Or maybe Nester the firebrand a cleric whose church was a training ground for fighters of the undead. Of course there were others. Who should he chose?
