As they walked away, Margaret felt something strange happening to his dress. He stopped and watched as it split in two. The top half becoming a muscle shirt and the bottom half becoming a pair of boy's jeans. Then the heeled shoes he was wearing became a pair of running shoes.
"What happened to my clothes?" Margaret asked.
Sarah didn't answer him. Instead he asked Margaret a question. "When you touched me, did you feel like you were stung?"
"Yeah, actually. Why?"
"The same thing happened to me. I was with my boyfriend. He touched me and then I changed into this," Sarah said, gesturing to his own body.
"You mean you're ... really a girl?"
"Yeah. I mean, I was." He paused. "I can't really explain it, but I feel like my mind is changing. I still remember my life as a girl, but I'm starting to feel more like a boy. I wish I could just stop it and change back to normal, but I don't know how. I was hoping my boyfriend would know, but he was pretty freaked out by what happened."
As Sarah thought about it some more, however, an idea suddenly occurred to him. "We became like him," he said.
"Huh?"
"Look at us. We both look like jocks, the ones that go to my school anyway. In fact, we look a lot like my boyfriend. It's almost as if ... as if we changed to look like him," Sarah said, putting some of it together.
"But how is that possible?" Margaret asked.
"I don't know."
