Jon still wasn't sure how much to trust this scientist. In fact, he was pretty sure that there wasn't much reason to trust him at all, even if the whole thing was the result of a wish. For that matter, he wondered if the scientist had even existed before he made the wish--it seemed so unlikely.
"I've got to go to the bathroom," said Jon. "You don't need to, um, research that any more, do you?"
"Nein."
Jon hurried to the restroom, hesitated between the doors but finally opened the door to the ladies' room, entered, sat down, and took out his stone. "I wish I knew if Von Schtupple was correct."
"Partly," rang a voice in his head.
"I wish to know the details."
"Like everyone you do have some desire for physical stimulation. A desire for the physical act doesn't automatically make you attracted to guys any more than it makes you attracted to dildos. However, human behavior and thoughts are complicated and different people are affected in different ways. Some are affected in the way described."
The information, of course, was totally useless. Jon could keep asking questions, but it seemed pointless. If he asked the stone about his sexuality and it told him something he knew, it wouldn't change how he acted. And if he asked the stone about his sexuality and it told him something he didn't know, he certainly wouldn't start changing his life based on the information from a rock.
