"Supay is working with someone. A devoted follower. Someone from here," Rudolph said.
"Someone from here? Who? Who is it?" Santa asked.
But before Rudolph could utter a word, his whole body began to glow, emitting an eerie green light. Santa's eyes went wide, knowing what that meant. He looked back at Jon and Karyn and yelled "We have to get out of here!"
"What?" Jon asked, not understanding.
Then a moment later, Rudolph's body exploded, bits and pieces of bone and flesh splattering outward. It was probably the most horrific thing that Jon and Karyn had ever seen. But who could do such a thing? What being in the Hinterlands wanted to silence Rudolph so badly that they needed to kill him to shut him up?
