"Well if I can't help him out hear, I'm going in there!" Mary declared, throwing down the picture and storming to the back of the store.
"What, are you crazy?" the shopkeeper asked, springing to his feet. "If you put one of those on, all you'll succeed in doing is getting yourself assimilated to! You might not even end up in the right game!"
"Sure I will, because you're going to tell me which one will get me in there!" Mary said, jerking a finger at the screen.
"I'm not going to let you do what is basically suicide," the shopkeeper asserted.
"Fine, then I'll do it myself!" Mary says, snatching up a strange hat with twisting horns and a spiral shaped shell on it and putting it on her head. A flash of light went off before the shopkeeper could stop her, and the Mary was gone.
The shopkeeper groaned, knowing that not only had Mary gone into a game, but it wasn't even the right one. Whereas her son had been transported to Final Fantasy X, Mary had just put on the hat of Edea, the sort-of villainess of Final Fantasy VIII.
"Well, I suppose she has her own trial now," he muttered bitterly, before hearing the bell above the front door ring. The shopkeeper turned, his face paling as he realize who had entered the store.
