Brandon 2 paused, realizing that he had just searched for a door earlier. "How could I have missed this?" he wonders aloud, as the three hairs sticking out of his forehead grow longer, beginning to fall into his face.

He had little time to think, as the doorbell wrung again. "Coming, coming, jeez," Brandon muttered, stepping forward and opening the door to see who it was.

Brandon 4 and the shopkeeper searched the room, but to their surprise only found one escape pod left. "Weird, they must have evacuated already. Do robots even know to use escape pods?" Brandon asked.

"I don't know, but regardless there's only one left, and it's not big enough for both of us," the shopkeeper replied.

The two fell into silence, each turning to look the other in the eye.As they did, the upper part of their body suits began developing a small heart on the chest: Blue for Brandon and crimson for the shopkeeper.

Brandon 3 sighed with relief, picking up the third piece of the Master Emerald. "Well that was easy," he thought aloud. As he spoke, his torso began to shrink, his body changing to the cartoonish proportions of the other brandons.

No sooner had Brandon said that did he hear a ruffling in the bushes behind him. He turned on a heel, which had grown out from the soles of his boots just a few moments ago, to face whatever was about to come barreling out of the bushes into the trees, claws at the ready.
